We seek a new Hospital Housekeeping EVS Tech to join our team

The Hospital Housekeeping EVS Tech plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of patients, staff, and visitors within a healthcare facility. By maintaining a sterile and clean environment, housekeeping helps to prevent the spread of infections and promote overall hygiene.

The importance of practical hospital housekeeping cannot be overstated, as it directly impacts patient recovery, the overall hospital environment, and the facility's reputation for cleanliness and care quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Room Cleaning: Thoroughly cleaning patient rooms, including disinfecting surfaces, furniture, and equipment to eliminate germs and bacteria.
Bed Making: Properly making beds to ensure patient comfort while adhering to hospital cleanliness and infection control protocols.
Linen Management: Replenishing clean linens, including sheets, blankets, and towels, and safely handling soiled linens to prevent cross-contamination.
Floor Maintenance: Regular sweeping, mopping, and managing spills to keep floors safe and clean, reducing the risk of slips and falls.
Restroom Sanitation: Ensuring all restrooms are cleaned and provided with necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.) to maintain hygiene standards.
Waste Disposal: Properly handling and disposing of medical waste, recycling, and general trash as per regulatory guidelines.
Inventory Management: Tracking cleaning supplies and equipment, and notifying supervisors when inventory is low.
Adhering to Protocols: Following hospital policies and protocols for infection control and safety, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reporting Maintenance Issues: Identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns in the facility that may require attention.
Collaboration: Working closely with nursing and medical staff to coordinate cleaning schedules around patient care needs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a hospital setting is required.

Join our dedicated team at Albuquerque ER & Hospital, where we prioritize fast, top-tier emergency care for our patients and their families. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled EMT-B or EMT-I to enhance our emergency department team. This role will allow you to make a significant impact on patient care while working within our state-of-the-art facility, which offers a wide range of outpatient imaging services.

Job Schedule: PRN

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Perform vital signs and accurately document them.
Conduct venipuncture and IV placement as required.
Clean and manage wounds under supervision.
Operate laboratory equipment, perform point-of-care testing, and oversee quality controls.
Maintain knowledge of lab instruments and their operation.
Monitor and restock medical supplies to ensure efficiency in patient care.
Report equipment issues promptly to the nurse manager.
Update and maintain the patient database in accordance with the established protocols.
Execute additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or department director.

Job Competencies:

Proficient in navigating and utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Understanding of and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals effectively.
Commitment to ethical practice and people-centered care.
Actively participate as a part of the healthcare team.

Qualifications Required:

EMT-Paramedic Certification required; minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medical care.
1 year of hospital experience.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Dependable, responsible, and passionate about providing high-quality emergency patient care.
Strong interpersonal skills to relate well with all levels of hospital staff and patients.
