Albuquerque ER & Hospital Celebrates One-Year Anniversary of Opening

Albuquerque ER & Hospital is celebrating a successful first year of business! June 19th marks the one-year anniversary of the facility’s opening. Since our doors initially opened, we have been and will continue to be open 24/7, 365 days a year!

It’s been a pleasure to care for the Albuquerque community, and we are very proud of the work our amazing staff has done.  

“We are incredibly proud to celebrate our one-year anniversary of serving the community of Albuquerque,” said Dr. Sanjay Kholwadwala, CEO of Albuquerque ER & Hospital. “We want people to know we’re brand new and that we’ve only just begun. We will continue to provide our patients with a higher standard of care and a commitment to putting their needs and the needs of our community at the forefront.”

A few of the Hospital’s outstanding accomplishments from this year include:

• Continuing to be the highest patient-rated Emergency Room in Northern New Mexico and the only ER to guarantee a less than 10-minute wait. 
• Becoming the only provider in NM certified to administer ZULRESSO™, a medicine approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat postpartum depression.
• Providing low-cost sports physicals to student-athletes from 13 local middle and high schools, then returning 100% of the proceeds back to each student’s school. The initiative raised nearly $5,000 in donations in 2019.
• Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic with increased patient safety measures, testing availability, and additional support for patients.

One of the reasons for our facility’s growing success is that it’s the first of its kind. Our founding physicians sought out to find a solution to the frustratingly congested, impersonal hospital environment. The answer was Albuquerque ER & Hospital, a fully-licensed hospital that offers concierge-level care and is 100 percent centered around the patient’s needs.
